18th Annual Hugh Chatham Foundation Golf Classic - August 20, 2009

The 18th Annual Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital Foundation Golf Classic was held August 20th at Cedarbrook Country Club in Elkin. Benefiting the Foundation's Sharing the Vision campaign for a new and expanded Hospital, this year's event raised more than $40,000.

According to Human Resources Director Jeff Seaford, who served as tournament chairman, the event was a great success. "Our success is accomplished through our many golfers, volunteers and donors-with the backing of our Hospital Board of Trustees and the Foundation Board of Directors. Their support is essential to the success of the tournament," Seaford noted.

Foundation Vice-Chairman Elizabeth Callaway spoke at the awards dinner saying, "Our golf classic is so important to our annual campaign. The tournament not only provides needed financial support for our campaign, but also brings many visitors here from outside our community; it's a chance to introduce our guests to our great hospital and community." Tournament Chairman Jeff Seaford added, "We truly appreciate the many volunteers who help make this tournament one of the most successful in our region. Special thanks goes to Cedarbrook's Golf Professional Zim Zimmerman for a beautiful and exquisitely groomed golf course."
