Hugh Chatham Awarded For Outstanding Performance
Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital was recently presented with the North Carolina Quality Center's Outstanding Performance Award for Patient Safety & Quality Improvement.
The award was presented at an employee event by representatives from The North Carolina Hospital Association.
The award presented to Hugh Chatham was the culmination of the three-year Partnerships for Patients initiative that included 110 hospitals in North Carolina and Virginia, and resulted in an estimated 4,760 avoided-harm events and 5,354 fewer readmissions within its member hospitals.
Hugh Chatham was one of 21 hospitals that were recognized as part of the initiative.
The North Carolina Quality Center is a respected leader in the nation that is designed to lead the state’s hospitals on their journey to improve quality and patient safety. The Center provides educational, collaborative and performance measurement programs and services.
