For The Second Year In A Row, HCMH Ranked As One of America’s Best Hospitals
For the second year in a row, Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital has received the Women’s Choice Award as one of America’s 100 Best Hospitals in Patient Experience. Of the award winning hospitals in North Carolina, Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital ranks as the best full service hospital voted by women.
These distinctions are based on robust criteria that consider patient satisfaction, clinical excellence, and what women say they want from a hospital, including quality physician communications, responsiveness of nurses and support staff, cleanliness and trusted referrals from other women.
"We are again very honored and proud of achieving this prestigious award," said Paul Hammes, Hugh Chatham’s Chief Executive Officer. "It speaks very highly to the hard work and dedication of our physicians and staff who are committed to ensuring every patient receives exemplary care and attentive service."
Women make or influence more than 90 percent of health care decisions for themselves and their families, according to a study published by the American Academy of Family Physicians. These awards signal that Hugh Chatham meets or exceeds the expectations and needs of its patients, and it helps people make a more informed decision about where they choose to receive care for themselves and their families.
