State of the Art Equipment
The center’s MRI is an extremely powerful instrument with state of the art software.

One of only 25 in the US when it was installed, it features a Siemens Avanto magnet. It provides the highest detailed images available today through extremely high magnetic fields.

The new coil technology offers the advantages of being extremely fast, giving superb contrast resolution, while increasing patient comfort. It enables radiologists at the center to do vascular imaging and high end neural and musculoskeletal imaging.

The hospital’s new attractive and private Women’s Imaging Center offers a complete range of services under one roof: mammography, ultrasound, stereotactic breast biopsy, and bone density procedures.

The Imaging Center at Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital features a 40-slice CT scanner that allows our staff to perform fast and accurate scans of various anatomic imaging and provides the radiologists with multiplanar (3-D capabilities). CT angiography of peripheral and central vessels provides the radiologists with extremely important new capabilities.
