Author and lecturer, Hellen Keller, said “Keep your face to the sunshine and you cannot see the shadows. It’s what the sunflowers do.” This week’s Hugh Chatham Way Highlight features a team member who always has a smile and a positive outlook. She is consistently cheerful, helpful, and dedicated to all things Hugh Chatham. Join me in celebrating Julie Stanley, HR Administrative Secretary at Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital.

Jordan Mosley, Human Resources Director, said “Julie is one of the most hard-working people I know and puts everyone above herself. She is always open to learning new things (especially if it’s a shortcut in Excel) and will do anything she can to help others. If you ever need a go-to for process improvement, Julie is the one! She loves working with others to help the organization and enjoys sharing ideas that may help others.”

Allison Holder, Employment Coordinator, also said, “Julie is amazing so I could say so much about her, but one thing I appreciate about Julie is every morning she goes around the office wishing everyone a ‘Good Morning.’ She checks in on us and that brings a smile to my face.”

Thank you, Julie, for being such a bright light in your department and for always supporting your fellow team members. We are blessed to have you here at Hugh Chatham!

Q & A with Julie

How did you come to Hugh Chatham?
After staying home with our son for 4 years, I began looking for a part time HR position. It just so happened, I was at a birthday party with Tiffany Sparks and she was talking about a part time position at Hugh Chatham. I applied and am very blessed to have been at Hugh Chatham for a little over 6 years.

What led you to a career in healthcare?
Helping people has always been my passion and healthcare has a special place in my heart. When I came across a job that allowed me to be in healthcare and help people, I knew it was where I was meant to be.

How do you and your team exhibit STARS?
I work with an AMAZING team! Teamwork is what we do best. We all come together to help each other when our load is heavy. Our goal is to support each other so we can better support the organization.

What do you like to do for fun?
