Mother Teresa, Roman Catholic saint and Nobel laureate known for her missionary work, said “The fruit of love is service, which is compassion in action.” Hugh Chatham team members are quick to serve and show compassion when an opportunity arises. We are proud to recognize an inspiring servant leader, Bunny Brown — RN Supervisor at Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital, in this week’s Hugh Chatham Way Highlight.
Patricia Chaney, Director of Quality and Process Improvement said, “Bunny should write a novel to share all of the amazing experiences she’s had at Hugh Chatham. She possesses an extraordinary passion for quality patient care, and loves to train and pass on this passion to others. We need to bottle her expansive knowledge base of Hugh Chatham and forever memorialize it to share with future nurses.”
Lisa Brady, ICU Clinical Nurse Manager, continues by saying, “Bunny has always put patient care at Hugh Chatham first. She shows compassion and dedication every day with her professional, positive attitude. She always has a smile on her face and a way of making you feel at ease when she is here. I could go on and on about Bunny. She is one of the best.”.
Another colleague, Rogina Hutchens, 2nd Floor Assistant Nurse Manager, said “I have known Bunny Brown for several years. I have the upmost respect for her. She has been a great leader, mentor, teacher, and a wonderful friend to me and to others as well. I feel honored to be able to share about this wonderful human being.”
Bunny, there appears to be boundless admiration for you here at Hugh Chatham. Your patients and fellow team members have great love for you. We celebrate your wisdom, feel your compassion, and emulate your dedication. You truly are one of the best!
