American author and speaker, John Maxwell, said “A leader is one who knows the way, goes the way, and shows the way.” Here at Hugh Chatham, we have some truly outstanding leaders. Leaders who share their knowledge, experiences and who lead by example. Please join me in celebrating one of our newest leaders, Kelly Velasco, Clinical Nurse Manager, as this week’s Hugh Chatham Way Highlight.

Lisa Brady, ICU Clinical Nurse Manager, said “Kelly has been an excellent addition to the Hugh Chatham team. She is in the right place at the right time. Her positive attitude is contagious to others. She is dedicated and it shows every day. There is just so much l could say about Kelly and how wonderful she is. I look forward to watching Kelly grow with Hugh Chatham.”

Tresa Somers, Clinical Support Specialist, continues by saying, “Kelly brings a fresh, enthusiastic attitude to the 2nd floor Med/Surg department. One of the qualities that I appreciate most about her is her response to team needs. She is dedicated to making Med/Surg the best it can be. Kelly is a great example of the type of manager we all want to work for!”

Kelly, thank you for your dedication to your people, our Vision, and for naturally demonstrating what we mean when we say “the Hugh Chatham Way.” We are fortunate to have you on our team!
