Steve Jobs, founder of Apple, said “The only way to do great work is to love what you do.” We have so many team members at Hugh Chatham who embody this concept. Those who offer a sincere smile at a coworker on an especially stressful day, or gently encourage a patient when it is needed most. It is evident that they are here because they love what they do and consider it more than just a job, but rather, a calling. Congratulations to the team member at the center of this week’s Hugh Chatham Way Highlight, Nora Sanchez, the Site Supervisor for Hugh Chatham Express Care and Hugh Chatham Family Medicine in Dobson.

Nora was hired in the beginning stages of Hugh Chatham Express Care and since then has grown as a care provider and practice team member. Krissy Hensley, Practice Access Manager, said “Nora has always been a key team member at our Dobson location with her shining personality and desire to help her patients. With her recent transition to Site Supervisor, she has created a culture of teamwork and positivity, two of her best qualities. Nora is a wonderful leader and takes great pride in making sure patients receive exceptional care while supporting her group.”

Ashley Marion, Physician Assistant at Hugh Chatham Express Care stated, “Nora brings the best principles of Hugh Chatham to our clinic by her commitment to caring for patients and constant willingness to help her coworkers. She effortlessly makes our patients feel welcome and takes personal interest in their welfare. She has recently taken on a challenging role as Site Supervisor and is quickly making strides toward improving our ability to care for our patients and maximizing efficiency. She’s an asset to our clinic and our organization.”

Thank you, Nora, for your commitment to creating a successful, growing environment at our Dobson practices. Your team couldn’t wait to brag on your contributions and positive attitude. It is our privilege to honor what you do daily, for both Hugh Chatham team members and patients.

Q & A with Nora

How did you come to Hugh Chatham?
I had just finished medical assistant school and a position became available with the new Hugh Chatham Express Care practice.  It looked like a great growth opportunity.

What inspired you to pursue a career in healthcare?
I always had an interest in medical subjects and I love to learn and grow, so healthcare just seemed like the perfect fit.

How do you and your team exhibit STARS?
Our biggest asset in this office is teamwork. We are able to work as a team to get patients in and out during our busiest times and that is the reason this office has worked so well for so many years.  We also have a huge amount of respect and compassion for our patients.

What do you like to do for fun?
I love to cook and I love to spend time with my 10 month old son.
