Aristotle, Greek philosopher, mathematician, and poet, is noted as one of the most influential people in history who once said: “We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence then, is not an act, but a habit.” This week’s Hugh Chatham Way Highlight focuses on someone who delivers consistent, quality care and service, always putting the needs of others before her own. She is flexible, hard-working, and resourceful. Join me in celebrating Cindy Bryant, Medical Receptionist at Hugh Chatham Internal Medicine.

Leann Hooker, RN-MSN, Director of Practice Operations quotes “Cindy is a prime example of Hugh Chatham culture. Cindy’s strongest trait is her dedication to remain patient focused. From greeting patients with an exceptional attitude to assisting with communications between patients and their care provider, Cindy is an asset to our practice group!” Brandi Poplin, RN-BSN, Director of Primary Care Operations continues this thought by saying “Cindy is an exceptional team member who is always going above and beyond to support others. Cindy welcomes new challenges and strives to give 110% in everything that she does. Her hard work and dedication are an example to everyone.”

Thank you, Cindy, for always providing our patients, guests, and fellow team members with the warmest of welcomes and the highest quality service. Hugh Chatham is lucky to have you!

Q & A with Cindy

How did you come to Hugh Chatham?
“I worked with Dr. Neumark when he was with Blue Ridge Medical Group and when he came to Hugh Chatham, I came with him!”

What inspired you to pursue a career in healthcare?
“I’m a people person and I like to talk to everyone. Initially, I was in advertising and Blue Ridge was one of my accounts. When I walked in and started talking with them, they said “I need you.” And I sort of fell into it after that.

How do you and your team exhibit STARS?
“We work as a team and don’t see it as my job or your job, it is everyone’s job to take care of patients. The patients are our family.”

What do you like to do for fun?
“I love spending time with my grandbabies – they are 3 and 2. I have two daughters and I spend a lot of time with my youngest daughter.”
