According to Hugh Chatham Health, “the award recognizes excellence in obstetric services based on robust criteria that consider patient satisfaction and clinical excellence.” For example, two of these criteria met by Hugh Chatham Health are, patient safety ranking based on 12 Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services’ measures of infection and complication rates, and low rates of early elective deliveries (between 0-1%). Equally as exciting is the expansion of services provided by Hugh Chatham Health. In January, the team opened a new physician practice, Hugh Chatham Health – Family Medicine and Obstetrics. The vision behind opening the new facility was to offer a one-stop-shop for all members of the family who require healthcare. OB, newborn, pediatric, and adult patients can all be seen at the new facility. Three family medicine and obstetrical care physicians serve the practice, Meg Arboleda, MD, Brianna Hitchner, DO, and Jona Lamphier, DO. Arboleda and Hitchner are new providers for Hugh Chatham Health, and Lamphier has been with the facility for almost three years.
