Elkin, NC, April 8, 2026 – Hugh Chatham Health team members recently collected food and monetary donations to benefit Tri-County Christian Crisis Ministry (Tri-C) through its annual “Souper Bowl” event. The fundraiser invites team members to contribute a cash or food donation in exchange for a bowl of soup and sandwich prepared by the Hugh Chatham Health Café.
The organization’s Best Place to Work Team, which plans employee engagement events, launched the fundraiser in 2020. Over the past six years, the event has grown into a meaningful tradition of giving, with a total of 7,446 pounds of food collected and $33,698.90 raised to support Tri-C’s mission.
This year’s event continued that impact, with team members donating 661 pounds of food and $2,715.79. These contributions will help Tri-C meet ongoing community needs, including food assistance and essential support services for local families.
Josh Vogler, co-chair of the Best Place to Work Team and Wellness Program Leader, said, “This is one of our team’s favorite events of the year, and it is always inspiring to see how our teammates come together to support such an important cause. It’s meaningful to know that our efforts are making a real difference for local families, and we’re proud to partner with Tri-C to help address food insecurity in our region.”
Over the past six years, the continued generosity of Hugh Chatham Health team members has helped strengthen Tri-C’s ability to serve individuals and families across the region, reinforcing the organization’s commitment to improving community health and well-being.Bottom of Form
